ak 5004
The ak 5004 patient chair is a high quality multi-functional patient chair very suitable for ENT (ORL) and ophthalmic examinations. The electric height adjustment and a manual back rest are included in the standard configuration. The leg support is synchronized with the backrest.
The back rest can be tilted 5° forward of vertical which is very advantageous for certain ENT and ophthalmic examinations.
The electric height adjustment is controlled either by an integrated foot switch or by a switch located in the examination unit.
The chair can be used as a "stand alone" unit but is compatible with all examination units.
Many optional accessories are available.
Features and Functions
Height Adjustment
The chair offers a 200 mm electric up – down movement, controlled by either the integrated or an external foot switch. The external foot switch is connected directly to the chair however, it is also possible to control the up – down movement by switches located in the examination unit.
Backrest
The backrest is infinitely adjustable from vertical to horizontal. The manual adjustment is included with the base model.
The 5° tilt in front of vertical lean is very advantageous popular for certain ENT and ophthalmic examinations
Rotation
For certain ENT examinations the chair top rotates left or right. A ball locking mechanism secures the top at 90° positions.
Seat rotation
For certain ENT examinations the seat cushion rotates separately from the chair infinetly to the left or right. A locking mechanism secures any seat cushion position by a lever.
Foot support
The foldaway foot support enhances the seating comfort for smaller patients.

Electric back rest
An electric back-rest movement is available as an option. The switches are located on both sides of the back rest.
Seat cushion movement
A 100 mm fwd - bwb movement of the seat, either manually or electrically controlled, is available as an option
