Flexible Medical Technology for Practices and Clinics
9. April 2026Exchange, insights, and network building
For us, the key value was the dialogue. Through presentations, discussions, and many one-to-one conversations, we gained deeper insights into current developments in medical device design, engineering, and real-world application. We particularly valued the opportunity to connect with participants from industry, research, hospitals, and start-ups. This enabled us to expand our network and gather new perspectives on requirements, workflows, and innovation approaches.

Connecting with the Institute of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Minnesota
One of the highlights was making contact with the Institute of Mechanical Engineering led by Arthur Erdman, one of the conference committee members of the DMD Conference. The exchange was very inspiring and closely aligned with topics that are central to AKRUS: engineering excellence, practice-oriented development, and solutions that perform in everyday clinical use.

Conclusion
We are taking many valuable impulses and new contacts back with us from Minnesota, and we would like to thank everyone we spoke with for the open exchange. For AKRUS, the DMD Conference was an important step in engaging with international developments and strengthening connections for future projects.
