AKRUS has many years of experience in developing and manufacturing patient positioning systems for refractive laser applications. This expertise has been incorporated into the Patient Support System LSCneo, combining precise positioning, user-friendly operation and integrated safety features.
Electric adjustment along the X, Y and Z axes enables patients to be positioned precisely at the laser focal point. The headrest can also be adjusted electrically in height and tilted manually. An analogue joystick allows smooth, precise movement at variable speeds, supporting accurate and controlled positioning throughout the procedure.
Different safety solutions are available. In addition to an easily accessible emergency stop, all motorised movements are enabled either via an additional safety footswitch or controlled directly using the corresponding buttons. When used with a fixed laser head, the tilting headrest also provides an additional means of releasing the patient in an emergency. These safety features make the Patient Support System LSCneo suitable for use with both excimer lasers and femtosecond lasers with a fixed laser head.
For laser centers using two different systems, the upper section can optionally be swiveled by approximately 35 degrees. All adjustment axes remain available in the swiveled position, allowing patients to be transferred between the two laser systems without repositioning them on another treatment bed.
