Akrus and Fraunhofer IMTE as guests at the GRANNI creative workshop
27. February 2026AKRUS successfully represented at WHX 2026: Strong exchange, new impulses and valuable partnerships
AKRUS had its own stand at this year’s World Health Expo before Arab Health and can look back on an all-round successful participation. The event is one of the most important international meeting places for the healthcare industry and brought together decision-makers, manufacturers, service providers and innovation partners from numerous countries in Dubai (UAE). For AKRUS, the trade fair offered an ideal platform for strengthening existing contacts, initiating new partnerships and experiencing current developments in the market at close quarters.
Even on the first few days of the trade fair, it was clear that there was a high level of interest in practical, reliable solutions and collaborative partnerships. At our stand, we had many conversations with visitors from various sectors – from established players to new market participants looking for scalable, future-proof approaches. It was particularly valuable for AKRUS to be able to identify both concrete points of contact for short-term collaborations as well as long-term strategic opportunities.
Exchange with existing partners further strengthened
One focus of our presence at the trade fair was on exchanging ideas with existing partners. Numerous meetings focused on joint projects, next steps and the question of how we can make collaboration even more efficient and effective. The discussions were characterized by openness, clarity and the common goal of driving forward solutions that are convincing in practice. The WHX provided the perfect setting for this: short distances, direct discussions and the opportunity to get to the heart of issues quickly.
It became clear that face-to-face meetings continue to provide particular added value. Many agreements that often run through several loops in everyday life could be clarified much more quickly on site. At the same time, new ideas emerged as to how existing partnerships can be expanded in the future – both in terms of content and with a view to new markets and applications.

Promising contacts with potential new partners
In addition to expanding existing relationships, the trade fair was also a door opener for new contacts. We were able to engage in intensive discussions with several potential partners and hold initial talks on possible forms of cooperation. This was not just about getting to know each other, but also about specific expectations, requirements and framework conditions – an important basis for continuing to work in a targeted manner after the trade fair.
It was particularly positive that many discussions were very solution-oriented. In a short space of time, we were able to work out where interfaces exist, which topics are particularly relevant and what possible next steps could look like. The direct contact at the trade fair stand made a noticeable contribution to building trust and developing joint perspectives.
Market impulses and inspiration from competitors and trends
Another important part of the WHX for AKRUS was the targeted gathering of inspiration from the market. Looking at other providers and competitors provided valuable insights: Which topics are currently in focus? Which trends are gaining ground? And how are expectations of products, services and collaboration changing?
Through discussions and impressions from the halls, we were able to take away numerous ideas that will help us to further refine our own approaches. The international character of the trade fair in particular made it clear how differently markets tick – and at the same time which topics are gaining in importance worldwide. For AKRUS, this perspective is particularly important in order to classify developments at an early stage and incorporate them into our own work in a targeted manner.
Conclusion: Successful presence and clear next steps
Participation in the World Health Expo was a complete success for AKRUS: we were visible, approachable and strongly represented in terms of content – and actively used the trade fair to cultivate relationships, make new contacts and gain fresh impetus. The personal exchange at the stand showed once again how important direct encounters are for trust, cooperation and joint development.
In the next step, the discussions held are followed up in a structured manner and specific follow-ups are initiated. After all, a trade fair does not end on the last day – it is often the starting point for collaboration, new ideas and long-term partnerships. AKRUS is looking forward to deepening the contacts and insights gained in the coming weeks and implementing the next steps together with partners and interested parties.
